Overview

The Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems Designer and Installer Skill Set is the pathway for licensed electricians to become accredited designers and installers. The course delivers you the knowledge and skills to design and install quality grid connected PV systems.

2025 Dates: 10-14 Feb, or 11-15 Aug Time: 8am - 4pm Includes online self-study during the course & 5 days on-campus workshops.

Requirements

Applicants must hold an 'Unrestricted Electrician's Licence' issued in an Australian State or Territory and MUST provide evidence of holding an unrestricted electrical licence, prior to enrolment in the course. 4th year Electrotechnology apprentice may be consider for this course, if they have completed UEEEL0039 Design, Install, and verifiy compliance and functionality of general electrical installations; or UEERE0051 Apply electrical principals to renewable energy design completed and provide a statement of attainment.

Assessment

The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. A range of assessment strategies to meet different student’s needs will be selected, including theory and practical assessments.

Skills developed

Successful completion of this course will give you the skills and knowledge to become a qualified photovoltaic system designer, install and grid connect – and can lead to becoming accredited by Solar Accreditation Australia.

UEERE0081 Install photovoltaic systems to power conversion equipment
