Overview
The Grid-connected Battery Storage Systems Designer-Installer Skill Set (DIGCBSS) is the pathway for licenced electricians to become accredited designers and installers of grid-connected battery storage. This course provides the knowledge and skills needed to design and install quality grid-connected battery storage systems for your customers.
This course is fully funded by Solar Victoria as part of the Training and Workforce Development program – funded places are limited, so please enquire and enrol early to ensure your place!

Includes online self-study during the course & 4 days on-campus workshops.
Please note: If you have previously completed UEESS00185 - Sustainable - Designer-Installer of Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems Skill Set, you are required to complete an additional pre-requisite day of study to update your qualification before beginning this course.
Requirements
Applicants must hold an 'Unrestricted Electrician's Licence' , issued in an Australian State or Territory and MUST have completed; UEESS00194 - Grid-connected Photovoltaic Systems Designer-Installer Skill Set, to undertake this program.
Please note: If you have previously completed UEESS00185 - Sustainable - Designer-Installer of Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems Skill Set, you are required to complete an additional pre-requisite day of study to update your qualification before beginning this course.
4th year Electrotechnology apprentice may be consider for this course, if they have completed TAFE component of training.
Assessment
The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. A range of assessment strategies to meet different student’s needs will be selected, including theory and practical assessments.
