Overview
If you are already working within the massage/day spa industry and would like to add another treatment modality to your repertoire then consider learning the traditional cupping technique. This popular technique can be used to release toxins and excess fluids from the body’s soft tissues, and to improve blood flow and tone to the muscles.

Requirements
This course is available to people who are already working within the massage/day spa industry or are studying towards a qualification such as massage therapy or remedial massage.
Please bring along:
• Your own towels and linen to drape a massage table
• Comfortable clothing such as loose sports shorts and shirts to allow others to work on body areas easily without disrobing
• Drinks, lunch, and snacks as the TAFE canteen is not open on weekends
• We will be working with glass cups provided, but if you own a “pump style” cupping set, feel free to bring this also.
The massage classroom is located in Building B, upstairs Room B113. Access is via the external stairwell off the executive carpark on McKoy St.
Assessment
There are no assessment requirements for this short course.
Other Information
Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Points:
This course is a one full day introductory practical workshop in traditional cupping.
Please check with your association around how many CPE points you are eligible for as each association will have their own criteria for this.
