Overview
This course provides the training component of a carpentry apprenticeship in the housing and commercial sectors of the carpentry trade. A large range of elective units that suit all areas of carpentry, domestic and commercial construction, formwork, and industrial carpentry work, ensuring that your apprentices learn the skills they need to work effectively in your business. Our teaching staff also offer you full support to complete training reports, allowing you more time to work on your business. Skills recognition and gap training are also available if your workers have previous industry experience but do not hold qualifications.
You must be employed under an Australian Apprenticeship Agreement to undertake this course.

Schedule
This course is delivered with some units in the classroom and in the workshop.
Requirements
You must be a signed-up as an apprentice through Apprentice Connect Australia Provider (ACAP).
Assessment
The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. A range of assessment strategies to meet different student’s needs will be selected, including theoretical and practical assessments at TAFE.
