Overview
This course is offered as an apprenticeship for people employed as an apprentice in the light vehicle industry. Throughout this course apprentices will develop the skills and required competencies to perform safe work practices and a broad range of mechanical work on light vehicles within the service and repair sector of the Automotive industry.

Any time, as this course runs in conjunction with your employment.
When You Can Enrol
Once you are notified that your apprenticeship has been activated, Wodonga TAFE Automotive department will contact you for enrolment details.
Duration
APPRENTICESHIP, PART-TIME: 4 YEARS
Schedule
Four day block release scheduled through year 1, 2 & 3 (8 blocks) according to training plan developed with employer and apprentice. The remainder of the learning and assessment is completed at your workplace.
Requirements
- You need basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- You must be employed in the field and/or currently undertaking a apprenticeship.
- Please note food requirements - There are no canteen facilities available at our Logic Campus. There are vending machines with limited options and a BP Service Station located within 5 minutes drive of the campus, hence you are recommended to bring your own food and drinks when completing a course at Logic.
- Apprentices MUST have their own steel capped boots & appropriate clothing for workshop activities.
Assessment
The assessments will enable students to demonstrate the underpinning knowledge, skills and attributes required to meet the course outcomes. These will involve the assessment of your practical and theoretical knowledge through written assignments and practical project work.
