Recognising excellence at Wodonga TAFE’s annual Achievement Awards
Wednesday, 21 November 2018
Wodonga TAFE celebrated its annual Achievement Awards last night, on Tuesday 20 November 2018, in recognition and celebration of the outstanding achievements of students, industry partners, and staff members.
Executive Director of the Victorian TAFE Association, Mr Andrew Williamson, was the MC for the evening that was held at The Cube Wodonga. This year’s Achievement Awards format also included a facilitated panel discussion with current and past students. Students shared their inspiring stories of personal successes and how their education journey at Wodonga TAFE helped them to achieve their success and their goals.
The Awards were presented by current and past students whose experiences at Wodonga TAFE were also celebrated. Together with students, staff, and family and friends of Award nominees, invited guests included representatives from industry and community, in recognition of Wodonga TAFE’s business links and partnerships.
Wodonga TAFE’s CEO, Mr Mark Dixon, said the annual event enabled TAFE staff to come together with their students and industry partners, to celebrate and recognise the efforts of students and industry, and to share their success stories in a public forum. “Our students are to be commended on their achievements towards their qualifications and chosen career paths, whilst our industry and community partners provide the vital connections to work and employment that ensures the continued success of our students.”
“The Awards also present us with a wonderful opportunity to recognise our staff for their efforts. The Wodonga TAFE staff work together to ensure our students and community have access to the best possible vocational educational opportunities”, said Mark. “Our recent win of ‘Large Training Provider of the Year’ at the Australian Training Awards is testament to the culture and values of the entire team at Wodonga TAFE.”
