Wodonga TAFE Welcomed New Students at 2025 Student Welcome Day
Wodonga TAFE kicked off the 2025 academic year with its annual Student Welcome Day on Wednesday 19 February. The event offered new students a chance to get to know the campus, meet staff, and learn more about the support available to them throughout their studies.
Enrolments are up 15% compared to last year, reflecting the growing popularity of Wodonga TAFE’s programs and services. Adding to this achievement, Wodonga TAFE was recently named Victoria’s #1 TAFE for student satisfaction in the 2024 Victorian Skills Authority Student Satisfaction Survey, highlighting our ongoing commitment to student success and experience.
“Our Welcome Day is a great opportunity for new students to connect with one another and familiarise themselves with all the services Wodonga TAFE offers, we want students to feel comfortable and supported as they start their journey here, and this event is the perfect way to do that.” said Simon Macaulay, Acting Executive Director Education and Training.
The day begun with a Welcome to Country ceremonyperformed by Derek Murray, Duduroa Dhargal man to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land, followed by a lunch for students to enjoy while they mingle and settle in.
Wodonga TAFE’s Student Support Services were also be on hand, providing information about the various resources available to students, from academic assistance to personal wellbeing. More details about these services can be found here.

The 2025 Student Welcome Day was open to all Wodonga TAFE students and was a fun and welcoming start to the year.
