Wednesday, 12 February 2025
Wodonga TAFE have recently wrapped up an Introduction to Welding [NA08IW] course specifically for women, providing the opportunity to gain hands-on welding skills in a supportive and welcoming environment. Coming to an end this week, the Women’s Welding Course has been perfect for those looking to tackle DIY projects, make repairs around the home or farm, or even create unique garden art.
“It’s fantastic to see so many women eager to learn welding! Whether it’s fixing a gate, building sculptures, or just getting hands-on with a new skill, this course is a great way to develop confidence in welding,” says Phil, Welding Teacher.
This short course covers fundamental welding techniques, safety practices, and practical applications, no prior experience needed. With expert guidance, participants have built valuable skills to use in everyday projects or simply enjoy a new hands-on hobby.
“I've always wanted to learn welding since I was a young girl, being inspired by watching Dad working in the shed, but I never knew where to start. This course gave me the confidence to tackle my own projects at home, I’m excited to now begin working on all my garden art ideas!” Carolyn
