Feedback Fortnight Term 3

Feedback Fortnight for Term 3 has commenced as of Monday 9 September and will be open through to Friday 20 September. If you study on campus, you will have a chance to answer the survey during class, students offsite will receive a text with a link to complete in their own time. Please continue to be open, honest, and specific in your feedback so we can review and implement changes to enhance the student experience.

Your anonymous feedback is reviewed by all levels of Wodonga TAFE staff with improvement actions identified for implementation. Any common themes are discussed at our Board of Studies and Educational Operations committees who have primary responsibility for setting the training and assessment service standards that we operate to.

 

 

Student feedback so far

Thank you to those who submitted feedback to us from our latest survey.

Throughout 2024 Wodonga TAFE is moving to digital collection of student feedback that will enable real time collation and review of information on how satisfied you our students are with our performance. It has been great to see the high levels of satisfaction with courses (96.5%), Wodonga TAFE (96%) and most importantly feeling safe and welcomed (98%). Your comments have also been invaluable and continue to guide our way forward in improving how we operate.

 

It came through very strongly that the skills and knowledge of our teachers and trainers contribute enormously to the positive experience our students have:

“…extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating to my learning needs.”

“The overall support and encouragement from them went beyond and has made me feel confident in myself…”

“…love when they bring real life examples for the info they are getting across”

“…exceptional expertise, passion, and dedication…”

We continue to acknowledge our teachers and thank them for the work they do to deliver quality training every day.

 

Some areas reported that resources and assessments need to be reviewed for accuracy and clarity. Students working in Moodle also reported issues with functionality:

“…needs to be structured better so you can complete in sequence.”

“…difficult to extract the information that was required for the course.”

“…layout of Moodle takes a little bit to get used to i.e. I think it can be simplified”

Delivery areas are actively reviewing course content and working with the Moodle team to improve online delivery. Our Moodle team is also investigating software updates and deploying them to improve the experience in the platform.
