Meet Maddy, one of our Interior Decoration students!

Maddy is currently studying a Certificate IV in Interior Decoration (MSF40122). Here is a bit about why she chose to study interior design and what her favourite things about the course are!

Maddy has always been passionate about interior design, drawing inspiration from renowned designer Joanna Gaines and scouring Pinterest for creative ideas. The affordability of her course compared to those in larger cities made it an ideal choice for her.

Initially aspiring to be a property stylist, she discovered a newfound love for digital design and sketching spaces. The course has broadened her career aspirations, and she now aims to move to Queensland to work as an Interior Designer.

Her Favorite aspect of the course is the access to the sample room, filled with a variety of colour, fabric swatches, and hardware samples like tiles and wood surfaces. She relishes creating flat lays and experimenting with textures, patterns, and tones. Maddy appreciates the practical, hands-on approach of her coursework and the wealth of informative content provided. The supportive and approachable educators have made her learning journey even more enriching.

Maddy advises prospective interior design students to start networking and building relationships within the industry. She emphasizes the importance of staying curious and continuously learning through design events, showroom visits, and reading.
