Wodonga TAFE is excited to announce the launch of two new skill set courses:
- UEESS00194 - Grid-connected Photovoltaic Systems Designer-Installer Skill Set
- UEESS00191 - Grid-connected Battery Storage Systems Designer-Installer Skill Set
These courses are designed to equip A-grade electricians and fourth-year electrical apprentices with the skills and knowledge needed to become qualified solar photovoltaic (PV) designers and installers, or battery storage system (BSS) designers and installers.
Course Details
Grid-connected Photovoltaic Systems Designer-Installer Skill Set (UEESS00194)
Dates: 1st – 5th July, 2nd – 6th September, or 11th – 15th November
Time: 8am-4pm
The Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems Designer and Installer Skill Set (DIGCPV) is the pathway for licensed electricians to become accredited designers and installers. The course delivers you the knowledge and skills to design and install quality grid connected PV systems. It is your first step into a rewarding solar career and is the beginning of your training pathway into battery storage and off-grid courses.
Grid-connected Battery Storage Systems Designer-Installer Skill Set (UEESS00191)
Dates: 12th – 15th August, or 7th – 10th October
Time: 8am-4pm
The Grid-connected Battery Storage Systems Designer-Installer Skill Set (DIGCBSS) is the pathway for licenced electricians to become accredited designers and installers of grid-connected battery storage. This course provides the knowledge and skills needed to design and install quality grid-connected battery storage systems for your customers.
Solar Victoria's Funded Training & Eligibility
Thanks to funding from Solar Victoria, eligible participants can complete these courses for free.
This initiative aims to boost training and workforce development, ensuring Victoria has a steady supply of skilled workers to support the growing renewable and clean energy sector. To qualify for the free training, participants must be employed by a business that is an authorized installer or retailer registered with Solar Victoria. The training is available until the end of December 2024 or until all funded places are filled.
