FUSE 2023

Wodonga TAFE is thrilled to announce the return of the FUSE 2023 Exhibition, an event that promises to captivate art enthusiasts, students, and the local community with an inspiring display of creativity and innovation. FUSE will commence from November 14 - 17, where the public can attend the event during opening night or throughout the week.

FUSE 2023, hosted by Wodonga TAFE, is a celebration of the achievements of the students from Wodonga TAFE in the educational and vocational services (EVS) department showcasing the exceptional talent and diverse creativity of artists. The event will take place at Wodonga TAFE’s McKoy St campus, in the Valleys Restaurant Located near building G.

Opening night details:
Date: November 14, 2023
Time: 5pm – 8pm
Venue: Wodonga TAFE, 87 McKoy Street, Wodonga, Victoria.

The exhibition is set to feature a wide range of artistic forms, from students across a variety of courses such as Graphic Design, Photography, Visual Arts, Sound Production, Hairdressing, Interior Design and Fashion Design. FUSE offers a unique opportunity for visitors to engage with the creative works on display. Attendees can expect to be transported into a world of visual storytelling, thought-provoking concepts, and innovative design.

FUSE is an exciting platform for emerging artists to gain recognition and for established artists to connect with the local community. It also serves as an educational experience for Wodonga TAFE students, providing them with valuable insights into the professional world. The event will not only showcase the artistic brilliance but will also include workshops and course experiences, providing visitors with the chance to engage directly with the students and teachers behind Wodonga TAFE.

Tuesday 14 Nov
Opening night - 5pm - 8pm - Open to public, music performances, food truck and grazing table, drinks at bar price, exhibition. 

Wednesday 15 Nov
Visual Arts Tour - 10am -11am – Tour for all prospective students and industry. For any enquiries about this tour people can contact the Visual Arts teacher Marnie via email - mkorneluk@wodongatafe.edu.au.

Hairdressing VIP experience - 10:30am-11:45am – Industry invitees will experience a blow wave bar with DJ and canapés.

Support Services - 11:30-1:30 – All existing Wodonga TAFE students are welcome to their farewell in the quadrangle.

Reclink 11:30-1:30 – Gemma – Outdoor games and fun in the quadrangle with Gemma from Reclink.

Music performances 11:30-2:00 – Simon’s music students performing in the quadrangle everyone is welcome.

Photography tour - 12:30pm - 1:30pm -  Tour for all prospective students and industry. For any enquiries about this tour people can contact the Photography teacher Tania via email - tmartini@wodongatafe.edu.au .

Interior Design tour - 12:30pm - 1:30pm  Tour for all prospective students and industry. For any enquiries about this tour people can contact the Interior Design teacher Carol via email castevens@wodongatafe.edu.au .

Cookery tour 1:30-2:30 – Tour for all prospective students and industry. For any enquiries about this tour people can contact the Cookery teacher Cody via email - cmay@wodongatafe.edu.au .

Thursday 16 Nov
Exhibition open - 10am - 4pm - Open to the public.

Interior Design experience 10:30am -11:30am  – The Interior Design students to talk to other current and prospective students. Anyone is welcome and if there are enquiries email Carol via email - castevens@wodongatafe.edu.au

Yarning Circle launch - 12pm - 2pm – Wodonga TAFE Yarning Circle, 87 McKoy Street, Wodonga (across the small bridge towards La Trobe University, off the McKoy Street car park)
• Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony performed by Johnny Murray
• Cultural dancing by Dinawan’s Connection
• Lunch and refreshments provided.
