Wodonga TAFE hairdressing students take gold and silver in WorldSkills competition.
On Tuesday 27 September, Wodonga TAFE hosted the regional WorldSkills hairdressing competition. The WorldSkills regional competition is a one-day event where students are asked to showcase their range of specialist skills and services that have been taught to them throughout their studies or apprenticeships.
This year Wodonga TAFE had several students participating in the Central Victoria Regional round with 2 of our students receiving gold and silver. Our students’ results are:
GOLD - Tanika Zanghellini from Concept Hair Design
SILVER – Nicole Badrock-Douglas from Style Inn
5th PLACE – Isaac Pronk from Do My Hair
The student’s entries will now be considered by a selection panel for the National round that is to be held in Melbourne in 2023. Should they be successful in Melbourne, they will then have the opportunity to compete for Australia internationally.
Winners are considered to be the best of their trades and can go on to great successes off the back of this competition. Wodonga TAFE is proud to be hosting the regional competition. We look forward to supporting our students through the rest of their studies and the WorldSkills competition.
