Students in Wodonga TAFE’s Fitness courses will benefit from a new training partnership with local business, PT Fitness Private Studio.
Students completing the industry-standard Fitness qualifications with Wodonga TAFE will have fully supervised access to the facilities at PT Fitness Private Studio in Chisholm Court Wodonga as part of a new training model for the Fitness courses.
Owner of PT Fitness Private Studio, Mr Nic Conway, said he was excited to be able to provide support to the students and Wodonga TAFE as part of the training partnership. “I’m looking forward to sharing my business retail expertise and knowledge with the next generation of Fitness professionals”, said Nic.
“Building their business acumen will provide the students with powerful tools to take into their future careers in the Fitness industry, whatever direction they choose.”
Wodonga TAFE offers both Certificate III in Fitness and Certificate IV in Fitness. Applications are now open for the Certificate IV in Fitness that commences in October, and is the industry requirement to be a personal trainer.
Team Leader for Fitness at Wodonga TAFE, Ms Emma O’Donovan, said the new training arrangement with PT Fitness Private Studio was an exciting step for the Fitness training program.
“We have worked hard to bring this new training model to fruition”, said Emma. Students will have access to local gym facilities in a thriving Fitness business, along with full support from our teachers who are qualified Fitness industry professionals in their own right.”
