Friday, 8 March 2019
On Friday March 8th, Wodonga TAFE CEO Mark Dixon announced he would be leaving Wodonga TAFE to take on a new role as CEO at the City of Wodonga.
During Mark’s four year tenure Wodonga TAFE has experienced great success, with the institute not only being named Victorian Large Training Provider of the Year twice, but also as Australian Large Training Provider of the Year in 2018.
With an uncompromising commitment to quality learning and teaching outcomes, Mark has lead Wodonga TAFE during a period of significant investment across the entire institute, driving innovation, and seeing Wodonga TAFE grow from strength to strength, to now being routinely recognised as one of the leading TAFEs in Victoria and Australia.
Mark Dixon said ‘Being Wodonga TAFE CEO has been one of the best jobs I’ve had in my whole life. I have loved working at Wodonga TAFE.’
‘Coming into Wodonga TAFE the entire workforce has been like a second family to me. It’s been much more than a job, and the decision to leave has been an incredibly difficult one.’
‘Taking on this new role allows me to continue to contribute to the community where I live and also continue to advocate TAFE and the important role TAFE plays within our community’.
Mark will officially take on his new role at The City of Wodonga after Easter, with the process to identify a new Wodonga TAFE CEO to begin shortly.
