Connect via WiFi

Wodonga TAFE provides campus-wide WiFi for students.

To connect to WiFi from your 'bring your own' device, follow the instructions in the setup guides below.

Support for BYO devices

Wodonga TAFE's 'bring your own device' program allows you flexibility in how you study and your choice of computer device. However it is important to note that Wodonga TAFE is not responsible for servicing your device. 

Windows 10/11

Connecting to the WiFi network at Wodonga TAFE with a Windows 10 device

To connect to the Wodonga TAFE WiFi network from a Windows 10 device follow the below steps:

Step 1: Click on the Wireless Network indicator icon in the system tray to bring up the list of the available Wi-Fi networks.

Step 2: From the Wi-Fi networks listed, click on the one titled TAFE-Connect.

Step 3: Tick the box labelled use my Windows account

Step 4: Add your student email address (Student ID + @wodongatafe.edu.au) in the user field and the password for your account in the password field. Then click or tap the Connect button.

You will now be connected to the internet.



Android

Connecting to the WiFi network at Wodonga TAFE with an Android Device

To connect to the Wodonga TAFE WiFi network from an Andriod device follow the below steps:

Step 1: Open up the settings on the device

Step 2: Go to Wireless & Networks

Step 3: If Wi-Fi is unchecked, tap the empty box to enable it.

Step 4: After scanning is complete, tap on name of the network TAFE-Connect and tap on connect.

Step 5:  Settings to connect to TAFE-Connect

Option 1

  • EAP method = PEAP 
  • Phase 2 Authentication = MSCHAPV2 
  • CA Certificate = Trust on first use 
  • identity = username@wodongatafe.edu.au
  • Anonymous Identity = username 
  • Password = password 

Option 2 

  • EAP Method = PEAP
  • Phase 2 Authentication = MSCHAPV2
  • CA Certificate = Use system Certificates 
  • Online Certificate Status = Do not verify 
  • Domain = wodongatafe.edu.au 
iOS (Apple)

To connect to the Wodonga TAFE WiFi network from an Apple iOS device, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Tap Settings > Wi-Fi, and make sure Wi-Fi is turned on. Your device will search for available Wi-Fi networks.

Step 2: After scanning is complete, tap on name of the network TAFE-Connect.

Step 3: Add your student email address (Student ID + @wodongatafe.edu.au) in the username field and the password for your account in the password field. Then click or tap the Join button.

You will now be connected to the internet.
