LIGHT VEHICLE

4WD Vehicle Recovery

Designed for all drivers, this course teaches students how to safely recover a bogged or disabled four-wheel vehicle, from steep inclines or boggy terrain, using standard recovery equipment and or special driving techniques. This course is especially relevant for those who use a 4WD vehicle in remote areas and other difficult driving environments. Training can take place in a TAFE vehicle or in a vehicle provided by the client.

This course is conducted over 8 hours with a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 learners per course.
Training can take place in a TAFE vehicle or in a vehicle provided by the client.
Please Note: course length may change depending on class size.
Generally our timings are 8am - 12pm and 12.30pm - 4.30pm, however we can deliver outside of these hours if required.

Certified Pilot Vehicle Driver Course (New)

Have you ever seen vehicles at the front and back of a truck that’s carrying a massive load? Those vehicles are ‘pilot vehicles’ and this is the course to be able to do it! This pilot vehicle operator course is a requirement for those who wish to apply for a pilot escort licence through VicRoads. You will develop the skills and knowledge required by pilot vehicle operators to control traffic in the vicinity of an oversized vehicle.

High Risk 4WD

Designed for all operators of 4x 4 vehicles drivers, this course teaches students how to safely operate and maneuver four-wheel drive vehicles on and off road in high risk, rugged or boggy terrain. This course is especially relevant for those who use a 4WD vehicle in remote areas and other difficult cross country environments. Training can take place in either a TAFE vehicle or in a vehicle provided by the client

Low Risk 4WD

Designed for all drivers, this course teaches students how to safely operate and maneuver four-wheel drive vehicles on and off road in relatively flat terrain, such as paddocks and fields. This course is also ideal for those seeking an introduction to the world of off-road driving. Training can take place in either a DECA vehicle or in a vehicle provided by the client

Responsible Driver Program

DECA Responsible Driver (DRD) endorsement is a defensive driving program for licensed individuals to learn the responsible driving principles in an online, self-directed mode followed by a driver assessment program in order to improve and assess driver’s skills and knowledge.

Delivery of this training is very flexible and close consultation with stakeholders is required to ensure that the practical training is conducted in the most efficient manner.

All theory training and assessment will be completed online. During that time, each client has access to the learning resources 24/7.

Safe Towing

All trailerable equipment requires skill and knowledge to tow and maneuver safely. Our Safe Towing Program is specifically designed to teach the key basic skills needed for safe towing and caters to all experience levels. You will learn about the risks associated with towable equipment, how to properly prepare for towing, gain hands-on practice experience in maneuvering the equipment and how to load your trailer & attach it to your vehicle, identify the compliance plate, and understand the GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) to ensure safe towing.
