What is VDSS?
Previously known as Vet in Schools (VETiS), Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VDSS) allows secondary students in years 10, 11 and 12, to gain practical skills in a specific industry along with a nationally recognised qualification, while still contributing towards the completion of their senior secondary certificate.
Wodonga TAFE is proud to support our regional schools with their VDSS programs.
Why choose a VDSS course?
- Gain useful sklls and experience for jobs
- Credit towards future study
- Hands-on skills for a job or industry you're interested in
- Try out a job or industry before leaving school
- Continue working towrds your ATAR but explore other opportunities

How does it work?
VDSS courses are delivered by one of two methods:
- On campus at Wodonga TAFE
- At your school by auspice arrangement
Our on-campus courses are run on Fridays during Victorian school terms, from 9.30am - 2.30pm at the McKoy Street campus. Most courses are delivered over a two year period, broken up unto units 1-2 in the first year and units 3-4 in the second year.
