What is VDSS?
Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VDSS) allows secondary students in years 10, 11 and 12, to gain practical skills in a specific industry along with a nationally recognised qualification, while still contributing towards the completion of their senior secondary certificate.
Wodonga TAFE is proud to support our regional schools with their VDSS programs.
Why choose a VDSS course?
- Gain useful skills and experience for jobs
- Credit towards future study
- Hands-on skills for a job or industry you're interested in
- Try out a job or industry before leaving school
- Continue working towards your ATAR but explore other opportunities
- Get a head start on courses you want to study after secondary school
How does it work?
VDSS courses are delivered by one of two methods:
- On campus at Wodonga TAFE
- At your school by auspice arrangement
Our on-campus courses are run on Fridays during Victorian school terms, from 9.30am - 2.30pm at the McKoy Street campus. Most courses are delivered over a two year period, broken up unto units 1-2 in the first year and units 3-4 in the second year.
